                                Treats for Kitty
Spending the afternoon cat-sitting with my friend's Burmese cat, Jules, inspired me to whip up a batch of kitty treats. Here's a great recipe that's just purrfect for that friendly feline! Not only will these treats help keep your cat regular, but they are also endearing as a host gift as well as quick to prepare:

                                • 2 cups vegetable oil
                                • 1 8 oz can salmon (can also use tuna, or crab meat)
                                • 2 cups whole wheat flour (can use white all-purpose)
                                • 2 cups cornmeal
                                • ?cup chicken stock (can use fish stock)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix all of the ingredients together and knead into a dough texture.
Take little portions of dough into hands and roll into little balls. *As an option, you can also roll out the dough onto a floured surface about ?inch thick and use cookie cutters).
Transfer the little balls onto a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. (For larger shaped treats, cook for 40 minutes). Once cooked, remove from oven and let cool on wire rack.

Wondering how to present them for the pretty kitty? Using a banana fibre box, line it with tissue paper and place the treats inside. Tie it with raffia and a little dried cat nip. Sprinkle dried cat nip on the treats. Cover with a lid and place a card for frisky Felix on top.
